Yep, totally kicking it old style. I'll admit, my kids use an older digitial camera. I know there is magic when you wait for film to be exposed before finding out how your pictures turned out. I know. But I lack that sort of patience these days. Picking my battles, people.
This would make a great holiday gift for any little wanna-be photographer. It's a great way to show how we used to do things. Then you can hide the remote to the TV and make her get up and change the channel for you. Ahh, the good old days.

Welcome to day two of Mommycosm's 2nd Annual Hoiday Hoopla!
Today's giveaway item is an 18" glass bead original necklace made by ME. The beads range in color. They are clear, light blue, dark blue, light purple and dark purple. The clasp is a silver claw. There is a 4" chain on the clasp, so the necklace can be worn at lengths between 18" to 22". I will send it to the winner in a white jewelry box.
FYI: I'm not a professional jewelry maker. You will not find my work on etsy or anywhere else. I currently only make jewelry for friends and family. I'm also not a professional photographer. So, not sure if the pictures do the necklace justice. It's really pretty.
(I will guarantee the clasp on the necklace for up to a year. If it breaks, send it back to me. I will reimburse the shipping cost and fix for free.)

]]>I am VERY excited about today's giveaway item. One of my favorite bloggers, Lou aka LouCeel, donated a signed/dated and framed photo, which he named Nobody's Home.
When he first posted Nobody's Home, I found it to be stunning...almost haunting. It's gorgeous - and so is Lou. If you don't already have him in your reader, please go read his blog. I love his writing experiments, his haikus and his photos. But honestly, most of all, I love his spirit.
Lou closes all of his posts with the word "Ndinombethe", an African proverb which translates to "as I go, I am wearing you." It refers to the handprint we leave on the lives of others as we cross paths, whether intended or accidental. It is such a powerful word and concept. The world would be a much better place if we all remembered that our actions, whether small or large, leave an imprint on others. Amazing.
Although I have yet to meet Lou in person, he has definitely left a handprint on my life.
He generously signed, dated and framed a copy of Nobody's Home for one lucky Mommycosm reader! The print is 11x14 and it is in a 16x20 frame.
