Holiday Hoopla: giving away The Elf on The Shelf
Monday, December 8, 2008 at 10:57AM I recently discovered the book The Elf on the Shelf. I love, love, love the idea of this creepy little elf hanging out in our house reporting back to Santa on the daily naughty and niceness of my kids. Hope this will whip them into shape over the next couple of weeks!
The good news? My brother-in-law saw that the author would be doing a signing near his work. He braved the soccer moms and a weird old man to buy two of The Elf on the Shelf, one for my family and one for a lucky MommyCosm reader. AND? He got the author to sign it. Very cool. (Thank you Rufus!)
I'm adding an Amazon thingy so that you can see a picture of the product.
In case you already have The Elf on the Shelf, or the thought of the thing living in your house creeps you out too much, my own little elves put together something for your viewing pleasure. Enjoy this:

My naughty girl painted the wall with the "flamingo":))
My little girl is just 15 months but is starting to learn all things naughty! Like how on Mondays when I do the laundry she likes to sit and wait for me to put all the clothes away. Then when I'm not in the room she goes to the drawers and pull out every single item of clothing! I'm now looking for something to keep our dresser drawer closed.
This is a fun giveaway! My daughter love books and creepy looking elves! No but really this would be a fun tradition to start for each Christmas. We love Christmas books!
We really want an Elf. We were being super loud when Momma was working at home and we don't listen to our Mom when she tells us to do something.
Mine chose to tell his father what we'd bought him for Christmas. Lovely, eh?
