Still here?

Hello, is anyone still here? *echo echo*

Yeah, I know. I’ve totally been MIA.

In my defense, it’s a little difficult to be on the computer when you can barely hold one eye open and your fingertips have blisters. If you’re all HUH?! Read my last post.

I’m able to tolerate small bouts on the computer now and my fingers are healing…after the blisters popped and pealed off, exposing ultra-sensitive new skin underneath. Damn purple nail polish remover. I’ll post more about the ordeal later this week, with gory pictures. I’m appalled that these products are allowed to be on the market.

So, I’m not quite in one piece, but I’m back.

Oh, and as if my eye and finger issues were not a good enough excuse to go MIA here in MommyCosm…

Princess, BamBam and I all came down with a lovely spring virus mid-week. I was sick with a 102 fever and in bed on Thursday night when The Daddy came home from work. He had electrocuted himself on a piece of faulty equipment and said he was feeling “funny”…so he went straight to the ER. His mom took him. It had traveled up his arm and across his chest. Miraculously, his heart and liver were just fine, but he felt like he had been hit by a truck all weekend. We’re feeling extremely lucky.

I’m in between sitters this week, so it’s just me home with BamBam. He’s going to get a bit too much Handy Manny and Scooby Doo while I try to get my work done. He’s still stuffy and coughing today, so no complaints there.

Princess graduates from Kindergarten on Wednesday. It hasn’t hit me yet. My little baby girl is going to be a 1st grader this fall, ouch.

BUT *gheesh* let’s not get too far ahead of ourselves here. Fall is far, far away...like Andalasia.  Yeah, we watched Enchanted one too many times while all sick.  Great movie though.

We’re SOOO ready for the change of pace that summer will bring!  I'm seeing the light at the end of this long, long tunnel.  The kids will have a sitter Mon-Thurs to give them undivided attention while I actually am able to get my work done. I will have every day after 3:30 and Friday, Saturday and Sunday FREE to be with the kids. No trying to juggle everything and everyone all at once. No softball. It totally sounds manageable.  Better yet, enjoyable. I should have plenty of time to dust off the blog and get working again.

Oh, honey. I'm so very sorry about all the allergy/virus issues. Ish. Glad you're seeing that light and can't wait to read more this summer!

And? I can relate about kids getting older. The twins start their Montessori pre-school on August 11th. Unbelievable.
