Interviewed by Lou

LouCeeL recently did a meme that he got from Maggie's Mind.  It involves being interviewed and agreeing to interview other bloggers.  I jumped on board and answered LouCeeL's questions:

1-What is your favorite childhood memory?

I have a couple...

When I was in elementary school, my dad surprised us with tickets to Disney World.  I think he gave them to us the night before we left.  It was an especially cold and snowy winter.  I remember being SO excited.

Also, my dad HATES cats and I always wanted one.  ALWAYS.  I had about a gazzilion cat statues and stuffed animals.  It was an obsession.  When I was about 12 years old, my dad surprised me with a kitten for Christmas.  I named him Chriskit.  I actually remember crying because I was so happy.

2-Who is the person you most admire - that is alive today?

Barack Obama would be too obvious of an answer.  Seriously, the man has brought hope to an entire world, what's not to admire?!

In my personal life, I most admire my husband.  He has built entire restaurants from the ground up.  I can barely screw in a light bulb.  Everyone comes to him for advice on "how to".  Our neighbors always check our garage before heading to Home Depot.  We usually have whatever weird fitting or thingamabob they are looking for.

I guess opposites really do attract.  I'm much better at communicating than building.  Also, he is able to get down and silly with the kids in a way that sometimes makes me envious.  He is a great father.

3-If you could live anywhere - where would that be?

That one is easy.  Aruba.  Hands down, Aruba.

4-What do you like to eat when you're feeling 'down'?

I crave carbs, mostly in the form of sugar when I'm feeling down.  I'm sure that doesn't help improve my mood!  I'm not very picky about my fix.  Yesterday, it was PEZ.  I don't keep skittles or runts in the house because I can eat them in one sitting.  Amazing I'm only a size 8!

5-What do you like most about being a woman?

Growing babies and breast feeding.  Both were more challenging than anything I have ever experienced, but truly AMAZING.  We are always so hard on our bodies: too fat, too short, small breasts, breasts too big, saggy breasts, back fat, etc.  It's easy to forget about all the amazingly GREAT things our bodies can do.

Want to keep the meme going?  Want me to interview you?

Follow these instructions:

1. Leave me a comment saying, "Interview me."

2. I will respond by emailing you five questions. I get to pick the questions.

3. You will update your blog with the answers to the questions.

4. You will include this explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the same post.

5. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions.

That's it.

Well answered, Ashlie. Thanks for playing. PEZ? Really? On the other hand - I guess PEZ doesn't require refrigeration so it's potentially handier and more portable than some comfort foods out there.

HUGS.

I'm surprised by one of those answers, A. A surprise trip to Disney would be so badass.

Sure, why not, I'll play. I haven't done a meme - outside of Facebook, anyway - in ages. Interview me. I'll answer... sometime soon.
