EASY Chili Recipe
Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at 06:13PM My neighbor makes the best chili and she shared the recipe with me recently. I love it because it was mild-medium in spice, didn't contain any onions or peppers AND it didn't hurt my belly hours later. It was very flavorful and had just the right mix of textures.
When she gave me the recipe, I was shocked that it was SO EASY to make. I went right to work and cooked up a batch. Can you say YUMMY!?
Here's the EASY Chili Recipe:
in big pot, brown:
1.5 lbs of hamburger
1 Jimmy Dean HOT sausage roll
once all the meat is brown, add:
Big can of crushed tomatos
Big can of diced tomotos
3 small cans of beans: red kidney, small red and pinto
(note, she uses black instead of small red, but I changed it slightly)
1 package chili seasoning
1 package taco seasoning
stir all together and allow to simmer for ?a while? before serving.
I crushed tortilla chips, sprinkled cheddar cheese and added a dollap of sour cream. Corn bread is also yummy crumbled up on top. Or better yet, put the cornbread in your bowl first and drop the chili on top.
Oh yeah. Mmm, mmm, mmm.

That does sound yummy and very simple. I am always trying different chili recipes and have yet to find one I really like. Will add this one to the list.

Like I said, I was shocked when she gave me the recipe. I ate it at her house first. My dad is the type that takes days to make chili...I almost want to have him over after it's already made and make him try it, just to see what he thinks.
Oh, yum, that chili looks delicious! Nice WW share!!

I bet it would be good with a margarita to wash it down...hmm...
This is what I get for sitting down to catch up on blogs before I eat supper. Now - I'm not only starved - I'm craving something that doesn't exist in my house, the weather outside is REALLY nasty and I am disinclined to go back out in it and I don't cook well enough to put all this together myself. Besides, SWMBO (She Who Must Be Obeyed) has forbidden me to use her pots and pans, wo I wouldn't be able to cook even if I wanted to.
hey man thanks for the info.keep updating and it is a great work.
