Mommycosm's Smashing Pumpkintini
Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at 12:01PM I'm semi-famous in these parts for my drinks. I make a Mean Margarita in the summer and the world's best Naughty Gingerbread Mantini near Thanksgiving and Christmas. I also serve shots in chocolate shot cups when I'm losing at poker.
Right now? It's the Pumpkintini.
I'm in a sharing mood. Here ya go:
Mommycosm's Smashing Pumpkintini Recipe
In a (metal) shaker filled with ice, add:
3 oz. Hiram Walker Pumpkin Spice Liqueur
1 oz. Captain Morgan's Spiced Rum
2 oz Half 'n Half (or milk)
shake, shake, shake....and shake some more
Pour into cold, clear martini glass and garnish with a cinnamon stick or dash of cinnamon. You could use a plastic shaker, but the cream doesn't get to the same almost-frozen and oh-so-frosty consistency. Also, the drink is very orange. You could serve in a colored glass, but it loses its effect.
I served these over the weekend at our annual pumpkin carving party. They were a HUGE hit.
