Consider yourself...

Consider yourself having your ears bleed!
---
Sarah is attending a Broadway Camp this week during her school vacation. Every afternoon from 1-4 she goes to camp and practices for a performance on Friday. There are 2 group songs and each child has a solo song.
She went to the same camp when she was just 4 years old. She's been begging to attend another one ever since. This is the first time the planets aligned enough to allow the opportunity.
The song her teacher picked this time is from Oliver: Consider Yourself.
I have heard the song before, although sung by a little boy with an accent?!?
The teacher records the song the first day and sends it home to practice. She also sings opera, and now I see why she picked this song for Sarah. She kicks it up a notch or two and sings it in a really, really high note.
Now, I know NOTHING about music. Seriously. Nothing. Completely inept.
BUT, I do know that Sarah can hit those same notes. It's insane. She definitely doesn't get the skill from me...or my husband. Our musical repetoire consists of Bon Jovi and Prince. *ahem*
While she CAN hit those high notes, every now and then she's a bit off while she's practicing. It's only Tuesday and my ears are bleeding, as are the dogs. I fear for our glassware.
Consider yourself...warned. I might not make it through the week!
Here's the boy with an accent version:
If you live in NH and would like more information about the Broadway Camp that Sarah is attending, please email me at: themommy [at] mommycosm [dot] com.
I received a comment from "Kris" asking for this, but in the interest of safety for Sarah and the other children, I don't feel comfortable posting this online. I can put you in contact with the teacher if you are really interested.

That reminds me of Ty's cousin Kate. Up until she finished college, and all of her voice training, she would sometimes hit a note or two that would cause me to curl up into a fetal position. But overall, Kate was always dead-on.
Have fun, Sarah! Broadway is always fun!
My daughter's high-pitched, screechy little voice makes my ears bleed too. I love it though. :)
Where is this camp?!
