New Sid the Science Kid DVDs

I've mentioned before that my kids are very big fans of Sid the Science Kid on PBS-Kids. They were SO very excited recently when we received two advanced copies of new Sid DVDs to review. The DVDs are out today.

Not only do Sid the Science Kid: Change Happens and Sid the Science Kid: The Bug Club each contain 4 episodes, they also each have a bonus DVD that includes over 2 hours of the best PBS shows. It's WAY cool and well worth the $9.99 on Amazon.

My kids are the perfect ages for Sid the Science Kid. At almost 4 and 7, they are uber inquisitive. So much so that it can be annoying at times because I don't know all the answers to their questions. Sid is honestly one of the only shows I will actually sit down and watch with them without wanting to poke my eyes out *coughHannaMontanacough*. Sad to admit, but I usually learn something new.

Their favorite episodes on each DVD?

From Change Happens: My Mushy Banana.  They love the part about decaying pumpkins.  Unfortunately, we watched this one at a friend's house.  A pregnant friend.  She is a nurse, but couldn't handle the pumpkin part...got a little queasy.  Oops.  My kids loved, loved, loved it.  They have seen the episode multiple times and cannot get enough.

From The Bug Club: The Dirt on Dirt. Yep, that's the same Earth Day episode I reviewed previously. They still giggle uncontrollably at the whole worm poop part.

If you're like me, you've very familiar with all of the current Sid the Science Kid episodes.  Wanna know something cool?

PBS will be airing 5 NEW Sid the Science Kid episodes in September.  Woo Hoo!!

(Disclaimer: Yes, I did receive these DVDs for free.  Their free-ness does not make me love Sid any more than I already did.  For real, we truly love Sid over here.  Oh, and while I'm disclosing info: Yes, in theory I will make a couple of pennies if you click onto any of the amazon links.  Although quite honestly, in the 2 years I've been blogging, I've never received a check from amazon.  I think you need $20 in queue before they cut you a check - so, yeah, never gonna get rich from those links.)

We LOVE Sid the Science Kid in our house. In fact, we are huge PBS kids fans overall. But I do love his curiosity, his family, and his friends on the show. My daughter loves all of the songs as well :)

OK, the twins are at the perfect age for this show. I'll add it to our repertoire!

Hi,
Mi son, 3, is also big fan of Sid and I just saw the "Change happens" DVD at Walmart. I would like to know what languages does it includes? specially if its comes with spanish, which is the mother tongue of my son. But nobody at the store could give me an answer!
Since you already have the DVD, can you please tell me if it comes with the Spanish option?
Thanks a lot!
