I'm going to file this under "Product I wish I had when my kids were younger."
Anyone who has eaten with a toddler knows it can be a messy experience. There are times when more food gets spread out around than actually inside their bellies. I speak from experience. We once left a 50% tip when my then-1 year old daughter left so much white rice behind, it looks as if it snowed around her. The floor. The walls.
We didn't have upholstered chairs by the time my daughter was born - thank God. We did have one of those booster chairs that strapped onto a wooden chair. Let me tell you. When we removed the booster for a cleaning, the stuff under the seat and caked to the chair was quite nasty.
Enter the SmartSeat chair protector.
This product was designed by a mom in need of an attractive, affordable seat cover that wasn't icky vinyl. She created a fabric cover that is waterproof, stain resistant, reusable, machine washable and easy to use.
If you have kids... this product is fabulous. We used to bring our booster when visiting grandparents, aunts and friends. It would have been easier to clean up after them if we placed a SmartSeat underneath.
But... you don't have to have kids to need this product. If you have upholstered dining room chairs that you want protected with a solid navy blue, tan or black cover, you will find these covers are better than what are currently on the market. Unfortunately, right now they only make covers in those three colors. Hopefully they will expand their offerings in the future.
It could get pricey to outfit an entire dining room set. The covers are $19.99 each if purchasing 1-3. However, the price staggers down to $14.99 each if you purchase 8+. This is still probably cheaper than having to steam clean your chairs.

I would recommend SmartSeat chair protector to anyone wanting to protect their upholstered chairs and/or trying to clean up after a toddler.
