Wordless Wednesday: Diva

If there wasn't a princess on her shirt, I'd forget that she's only (almost) an 8 year old third grader.  She's so pretty and smart and comfortable in her skin.  I don't remember being that way at her age.

I remember Dorothy Hamel haircuts, leg warmers and jelly shoes.  I remember being afraid of not fitting in.  I remember being too shy to say hello to a classmate we ran into at the mall.  Angst.

She's fearless and confident and shines on a stage.  I don't call her my mini-me as much anymore.  She's not mine.  She's not me.  She's her own person, developing her own style.  A diva.

She is as she is, because you have nurtured her and allowed her to become who and what she is. So ... it's still ... well done you.
