Your vote is needed in Energizer's Ultimate Photo Contest

My regular readers are aware that I was sponsored by Energizer at BlogHer 2010 in NYC last month.  So, when they asked me for help spreading the word about their Ultimate Photo Contest with National Geographic, of course I agreed.

The contest is really cool AND they offered a giveaway for my readers.  Looking out for you guys.

About the contest:

They had over 14,000 entries and have chosen twelve photographers from across the country as their Category Finalists.  They need YOU to vote for your favorite now through September 15, 2010.

The winner in each category gets an amazing prize pack.  See the official list of prizes.  You will see the grand prize winner's photograph in an Energizer ad published in the December 2010 issue of National Geographic.  I don't know about you, but I love National Geographic.  My dad has had a subscription for as long as I can remember.  I remember perusing the photographs as a young child before I could even read words.

The Category Finalists are impressive.  They all meet the high standards to be printed in National Geographic.

Here's a screen shot of the 2009 winner:

See?  Amazing.  I'm inspired... and totally have camera envy.

How does Energizer tie in?

Did you know that Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries are the world's longest lasting AA & AAA batteries in high-tech devices?  High-tech devices = cameras and accessories.  There you go.

Sidenote: I've been using my Energizer batteries with my new Recharge Smart.  I truly love both the batteries and the charger.

About the giveaway:

Energizer has offered (2) four-packs of Energizer Ultimate Lithium AA batteries and (2) four-packs of AAA batteries for me to giveaway.

Want to enter?

All you need to do is go over to the Ultimate Photo Contest website and vote for your favorites within each category.

Come back here and leave me a comment in this post telling me which was your ultimate favorite.  One comment per person.

Since the voting closes on September 15, 2010, I will give you until noon eastern time on September 16, 2010 to leave a comment.  I will choose a winner via Random.org.

I was offered (2) four-packs of Energizer AA and AAA batteries and the same to giveaway in exchange for this post.  All opinions are my own.

Wow - all spectacular photos. I voted in each category but I think one of my favs is the midnight lightening shot. I've always loved thunder & lightening storms and that one looks almost other worldly. Thanks for the link!

Thanks for sharing the link. So many talented photographers! So amazing what one can capture with a camera.

The fighting Egrets look like cartoons, but my ultimate favorite is the wisteria tree.

My favorite was placid awe, of the tornado hitting the ground. maybe i just like distruction too much, but it's still really cool!!

the thunder/lightning storm is my favorite! I better not show Noah or he'll get freaked out! He's been nervous about them since we were in Ohio this summer and Grammy/Grandpa had the crawlspace ready when there was a nearby tornado!
