#eBayParent Panel: Operation Disney on hold for a bit
Thursday, December 29, 2011 at 09:07AM
Although I did use eBay's RedLaser app a ton while holiday shopping, as documented in the Boston Globe, I kind of put our Operation Disney on hold for the holidays. Sure, it would have been fun and romantic to surprise the kids with a trip to Disney under the tree...but...
My father-in-law needed open heart surgery and he went in just before Christmas. Things got busy and overwhelming for a bit, so we decided to look at a date in the future instead, possibly late winter or early spring. Before softball, of course.
We're hoping to start up our eBay selling journey after things settle down from the holidays. There will be far less crazy people shipping at the post office. We can get the kids more involved, because OH MY GOD they have a lot of stuff we could easily sell.
Speaking of which, I was poking around eBay.com and found a fabulous Toy Selling Guide that offers tips and tricks on what's hot to sell and how to best list your items. If your kids are like mine and are growing out of their toys as fast as their shoes, you should give it a read. Very helpful. Planning to make space for all of the new toys they received for Christmas by getting rid of those they no longer want/need.
Looking forward to a fabulous 2012 and will continue to share my eBay Parent Panel journey along with way :) If there is anything you want to know about, be sure to leave me a comment.
Happy New Year, everyone!
