Coach Kim hosts Ragú® spaghetti dinner for team [sponsored]

I mentioned last week my appointment as an Ambassador in the Ragú®  Mom's the Word on Dinner Program

Well, one cool part of my Ambassadorship includes hosting a couple of in-home parties sponsored by Ragú®.  Easy peasy for a softball coach, huh?  Especially since my summer team qualified for the NSA World Series down in Chattanooga, TN.  They are down there all this week... without me.  I helped with fund raising, but when it came down to it, could not make the trip myself :(

One cool thing I could do for them before they took off: Host a Ragú®spaghetti dinner for the entire team, coaches and their families.  So.Much.Fun!

I served 4 different types of sauces: Traditional, Tomato Garlic & Onion, Garden Combination and Alfredo.  I put meatballs in a crock pot with the Traditional and served the others in a triple crock server.  *swoon*

I made 6lbs of pasta - a tad bit too much.  Could have gotten away with just 4lbs.  (note to self)

It was a great time for everyone.  These girls play for their high schools in the spring and some are rivals.  It's been fun seeing them come together as a team.  They are capable of playing some fierce softball.

I must say, I am used to slaving over the stove when hosting spaghetti dinner.  Always make my own sauce and meatballs from scratch.  Don't think I'll be doing that anymore... ehem... Ragú® made it SO much easier to present different options.  All were incredibly yummy.  I was quite impressed... and so were my guests.

Dinner came to an end with an array of desserts, including a cake with an appropriate message.

This will be an incredible experience for them - one I'm sure they will be talking about for years.  It was a perfect send off and they were quite appreciative.

Note: Dover Xtreme.  Xtremely good.  Haha.

I've just started this Program for Ragú® and am already having a blast.  Check out their newest video posted on the Ragú® Facebook page.  This one is about table manners.

Personally, beyond the obvious please and thank you, my pet peeve is allowing kids to play musical chairs at dinner.  My kids now have to ask to be excused before leaving the table, and once they do leave they are done with dinner.

What's your take on manners?
