eBay Parent Panel = Operation Disney

It's official...

I am SO very excited to announce my participation as a member of eBay's Parent Panel :)

Who isn't familiar with eBay, right?  I've purchased a few items over the years via eBay.  In fact, it has become my go-to site for all things difficult to find:  Chargers, sold-out toys at Christmas, Halloween costumes, etc.

While I have been a consumer on eBay for years, I have never delved into selling.  Well, I met with team members and fellow bloggers while in San Diego for BlogHer and left deeply inspired to go home and dig through our clutter.

You see, my kids want to go to Disney this year.  We just haven't been able to justify the expense.  So, I've challenged my family to go through our stuff and see what might be useful for others to purchase on eBay.  We have old clothes, cell phones, toys, tools, restaurant bar equipment, etc.  If we are creative and work hard, pretty sure we can fund our trip.

Our goal: $4,000.

I will share our eBay journey as well as tips and tools we find along the way right here at Mommycosm

For instance, did you know that eBay has an entire Seller Information Center on their site?!  I didn't.

Let the selling begin;)

Have you ever sold anything on eBay?  Would love your input.

Disclosure:

This post was created in connection with my appointment as a member of eBay's Parent Panel.  Thoughts are my own.

Love it! Congrats! You should interview my sister in law....she has been selling on eBay for years! I know she makes tens of thousands of dollars a year there! It's a business for her and she is awesome at it!

I sell a lot on eBay. I find that auction prices are better then but it now prices. I love the fact you can see how many people are "watching"an item. Bidding wars are great in the final minutes. Have fun...it's addicting!!

An FYI, after I reach a certain amount in my PayPal acct, I move the money to a saving acct. PayPal acct can be broken into and to loose $4,000.00 would stink.

I'm on the panel too. I'm looking forward to reading your updates and interacting with you.

Yes, I have sold lots of different things on Ebay and now even have a premium store. It's a GREAT way to declutter and if you love the thrill of the hunt (yard sales, thrift stores), it's a fun way to supplement the family income or save for something special.

I love eBay, been selling for 10 years! I am also a Top Rated PowerSeller so throw some questions my way if you need to. :) Good luck to you!

I never even knew about this feature. It gives me another topic to muse over in the ever changing world of ebay thanks.

Yes, I have sold things on Ebay before. It's fun, but alot of work. Make sure you don't lose money doing so.
