Have Facebook and Twitter stolen my funny?
Thursday, May 31, 2012 at 10:18AM Remember back in the day when you could compose a small blog post whenever something funny happened in your life? You didn't have to attach pictures, videos or links. There was interaction with your readers. You know, back when the dinosaurs roamed the Earth and Facebook and Twitter didn't exist in the Blogosphere.
I miss those days.
These days, I rely heavily on Facebook and Twitter to post my funniest one liners. You know, like when I recently mentioned that we were entering State Tournament prelims for softball, which is referred to as "Sudden Death" because it is a single elimination tournament. I joked that it is appropriately named because parents would be calling for mine if we lost in the preliminary round.
I'm pondering serious first world problems over here. Right?
Have Facebook and Twitter stolen my funny?
I think so.
How many of my actual blog readers (yes, YOU) connect with me on Facebook and Twitter as well?
You should. It's where my funny is hiding out these days.
Oh, and for the record, we won prelims :) No sudden death for me. Yet.

Having mastered (through life-long study) the Art of Ululation, I would happily offer my services as a Professional Mourner with one hour of ululation at the services - should you, in fact, go through that whole "Sudden Death" thing. Free of Charge. Because I like you. After the hour, however, it's 25 bucks.
OK, I've come to the blog, but I get your posts on Twitter. But i totally feel for the photo and media thing. I have this guilt if I make a post with no picture or link or something in it, which I never would have thought about before. But then, with Twitter followers, I feel a need to post every so often just because they're there. It's often nowhere near as funny as if i'd wait until it was something worthwhile. Guess they stole my funny too!
