Gift of Lights at NH Motor Speedway sure to become a new holiday tradition

Warning: I'm about to break my self-imposed "no using the C-word before Thanksgiving" rule.  ehem.

If you are in New Hampshire between now and the end of the year, there is a cool new family event you won't want to miss.  It's called Gift of Lights and is being held at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway.  Get this, they set up upwards of one million lights throughout a mile of the speedway and are allowing cars to drive through on a tour.

Yes.  You get to drive.  ON the speedway.  With your own car.

I brought the family to a media event earlier this week and created a video to give you a sneak peak.  Check it out:

It's costs just $15/vehicle a portion of the proceeds benefit Speedway Children's Charities, an organization that cares for children in education, financial, social and medical need.  The Speedway will be an official Toys for Tots drop off location.  Santa will even be available for a picture with the kids.

What a great use of a facility typically vacant this time of year, huh?  Gift of Lights is open November 18, 2011 through January 1, 2012, including Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.  Hours: Monday through Thursday 5:30 p.m.-9 p.m., and Friday-Sunday, 5:30 p.m.-10 p.m.
