The Daddy and I rarely get to go to the movies anymore. Well, any movies that we actually want to see, that is. The last two movies I saw in a theatre were Shrek 3 and Fred Claus, both with Princess. It’s been about a year and half since we went on a movie date night together. Pathetic, I know.

Breaking my no picture rule to wish you a Merry Christmas from Aruba.

This was certainly the most non-traditional Christmas that I have ever experienced.

The kids slept in late.  We ate breakfast outside.  We opened Santa's gifts and went to the beach before opening any others.  I took a nap and read a book.  We're headed our to a Japanese Steak House for Christmas dinner and will be meeting up with our local friends this evening.

Non-traditional indeed, but I am loving it.

Oh, and check out what was in my stocking...apparently Santa thinks I was a very nice Mommy this year...actually, there is a story behind it that I will share in a later post.

(Note: In case you can't open the link, it's a Tiffany's Platinum Etoile Heart Pendant)

Daily Conversation

We keep getting reports about how much snow they're getting back home in NH.  Our dog sitter said that Jasper just sinks into the snow and you can only see his little head sticking up.

We've had this conversation every day while in the pool here in Aruba.  It doesn't matter who starts the conversation, it always ends up the same:

I really don't want to go home.

I know, me neither.

 Can't we stay longer?

Yeah, if you don't want a job to go home to.

 Slight problem...that pesky money thing.

I love it at home, just not during the winter.

How do we stay here for 3 months of the year...we have jobs and the kids have school?

Yeah, I know.  There's always home school.

Yep...hey, pass me my margarita, will  ya?!

We still have 2 weeks and a day left.  My mom arrives on Friday and my best friend arrives on New Years Eve.  I'm looking forward to their arrivals, but each means that we're one step closer to FREEZING!

This is my heaven on earth.  Where is yours?
