3 AM Vomit
What a NASTY wake up call
My poor, sick BamBam

Here we go again
Do we go to hospital?
Is it just a bug?

Or his appendix?
Still has the swollen lymph nodes
Not sure what to do

Tell Me Thursday: Reflections

Yesterday, I participated in Wordless Wednesday with my post: Reflections

Today is Tell Me Thursday...time to take the less out of wordless.

This picture was taken last weekend at my father’s wedding. I called it reflections both due to their reflection in the water as well as my own reflections.

My parents were very young when they married. They were high school sweethearts and my mom found herself pregnant her sophomore year in college. They married because that is what you did back then. I don’t think either really had to the chance to grow into complete people before marrying. They did their best. Sometimes I think that I grew up along side of them.

To see my dad settle down with the right person after all of these years was truly a special moment. I really like my new step mother. I do think that they each needed to go through things in their lives individually before they could find each other. They have a lot in common. She lost her mother at a very young age. My father lost his dad when he was just 9. She really understands that dark place where he goes sometimes. I’ve never fully understood my father, so it’s a relief to know that he now has someone in his life who “gets” him.

My grandmother and uncle who have recently passed would have been very proud of him on Sunday. In some way, I’m sure they were there watching.
