Why, oh, why this week?
Don’t the dogs realize that
I’m crazy busy?!

Not a good idea
To roll in some poop
And come in the house.

On that note, BamBam
Could you please not wet the bed
Just one night this week.

‘cuz doing laundry
was not on my to do list
on top of all else!

And Princess, to you:
SOFT POOP HAPPENS! It just does.
Please stop freaking out.

You cannot stay home.
Enough with the drama, girl.
You are not that sick.

I have one question
For you mommies and daddies:
Can I fire myself?!

No, really, can I?
I could really use time off.
I am SO beyond.

-----

You know, it never fails. The 2 or 3 weeks a year when I way over schedule myself, all hell seems to break loose in MommyCosm. Maybe it’s the energy that I’m giving off? I did wake up with dread on Monday morning knowing how incredibly difficult it was going to be to pull off all that was scheduled.  So far, I've managed, but it's the extra crap (pun intended) that I can't deal with.

So, yes, Princess got diarrhea at school and freaked out. She was home 2 ½ days this week. Each dog decided it was time for the semi-annual bath. Chester got poop stuck to his butt and rubbed it all over my carpet and back porch. Just now, Jasper thought it should be his turn, so he rolled in poop. He's tied up outside waiting for my husband to get home because I just don't have time to deal with it!!  BamBam wet various beds 3 nights this week. I swear he holds it all in and just lets loose because I've woken up to check him as late as 5am.  He’s wearing size 7 pull ups to bed. Any suggestions on how to keep him dry, please do tell. I’m at a complete loss.

I am failing miserably at my job this week. I’d like a job performance review because I think I need to be fired. I know it. Everyone around me knows it. It’s time we all face it.  I'm not qualified for my current job responsibilities.

I’d settle for a suspension with pay. After all, as a stay-at-home mom, I should be making $117,000, right?

And The Academy Award Goes To...

Princess had diarrhea at school yesterday.  She is a HUGE freakin' drama queen whenever this happens.  Her school has caught on and they try to talk her down before calling me to get her.  This time, she had a low grade temp along with it, so they called me to see what I wanted to do.  I picked her up.  She was lying on the cot practicing for her future academy award.

Two hours later, she was running around like a crazy person playing with BamBam, no sign of sickness to be found.

This morning, the first thing she said when she woke up, Mommy, I don't feel well.  I need to stay home from school.  My belly hurts.

I called my husband to see how she was last night.  I had an away game and was didn't get home until after bedtime.  He left for work in the wee hours of the morning and we didn't get much of a chance to talk.  These 8 weeks of softball really throw me for a loop.  I'm used to being the one in the know about their every bowel movement.  Sad, but true.  He claims she was fine.  I let her talk to him and she threw on her best pathetic sick voice.

He thinks she's faking it.  So do I.

BUT, it will completely throw my day off if I have to go back and get her after dropping her off.  I am overbooked beyond capacity this week...aka I'm trying to do 5 things at once instead of just 3.  The last 2 times I've made her go and stick it out, I ended up having to go get her within an hour or so.  Not necessarily because she was too sick to be there, but because she caused so much drama about not feeling well, they sent her home.

SO, I've let her stay home with the threat that if she starts running around playing, I'm bringing her into school late.  She has a half day tomorrow, so that will be a better day to force her to go.

Grrr...stomach aches are so hard for me.  I never know if she's faking it or not.  I'm very frustrated.

Any advice here?

Not much to see here today. As if my every day life isn’t Cah-razy enough, I have 5 softball games this week within 6 days. I’m on the run all week. It’s only Monday and I’m already exhausted, *sigh*.

SO...

thought I’d leave you a list of a few of my favorite bloggers and their recent posts:

Heather at Confessions of a Coal Miner’s Granddaughter, or CMGD for those of you in the know, has up a hysterical video clip spoofing Pimp My Ride…they do it Mommy Style. I nearly pee’d my pants.

Another Heather, The Queen of Shake-Shake, wrote a very poignant post about marriage. She nailed what a lot of us moms are feeling. I literally said AMEN out loud. Not a common word in my vocabulary.

Lotus, aka Sarcastic Mom, could use some support. She just experienced a miscarriage and is brave enough to post about it. Stop by and leave her a hug.

On a lighter note, Latte Mommy gets my prize for the best title for a post: When Tighty Whities Go Bad. The post itself is funny, but the title made me laugh out loud.

Busy Dad and Secret Agent Mama did a simul-post a few weeks back. Their kids faced off in kitchen battle that would rival Iron Chef. It was really funny.

Joeprah just put up an Independence Day Contest. Check it out. You can win $25. With the price of gas these days, who couldn’t use an extra $25?!

That should keep you busy and buy me some time to put together a few real posts, phew.  Happy Reading :)
