BusyBody Book: Review and Giveaway

It didn't take very long into the start of school for our schedules to get absolutely crazy again.  I have a 2nd grader in elementary school all day and a preschooler doing three half days across town.  Sarah is doing a Broadway Kids group in addition to her school's drama club.  Max wants to play soccer or do gymnastics.  I work from home as a web researcher/writer/blogger and have a Reiki business.  My husband works at an alternative energy start up and has yet to establish a "normal" schedule.

Keeping track of all of our comings and goings can get a bit overwhelming.

I've mentioned before that I keep an 8 week rotating magnetic dry erase calendar on my fridge.  That certainly helps.  When things make it to that calendar, I'm usually on the ball.  The problems happen when I'm given an appointment outside of home.  Little slips of paper get put into my wallet or get sucked into the black hole of my pocketbook, never to be seen again.

I'm ashamed to admit that I have a Palm Treo cellphone.  Yeah, I suppose I should be keeping my schedule on there, but I just don't trust the thing.  I'm very tech saavy.  I'm not the problem.  The stupid phone is completely unpredictable and only works when it is in the mood.  I hate, hate, hate this phone and have plotted its death in a toilet accident in the near future.  Unfortunately, my husband is onto my plan, so I need to come up with a better death plot.

I've tried various appointment books.  Most would work if it was just MY schedule I needed to follow.  BUT, hello, I have 4 schedules to track.  Our schedules take up too much room on standard daily calendars and I am certainly NOT going to carry around 4 books.

Enter BusyBodyBook.

Check out that weekly GRID format.  Each of us can have our own column, plus one for my Reiki business.  I can view everyone's schedules side-by-side.  I can also make lists on the side.  I think I'm in love.

I've started using the free one they sent me to review.  It fits inside my pocketbook and I can either shove new appointment cards into the pockets in the front and back or just write it right in.  I then fill in everything on my fridge calendar later.  There are tear-out "to do" lists in the back.  I live by lists.  There is even a section to write in take out restaurant info.  Did I say that I think I'm in love?  Yep.

If you don't already have a magnetic fridge calendar, you might want to check out theirs, it is the same weekly GRID format.  I would try it if I didn't already have my 8 week thingy already in place.

Bottom line.  I would definitely recommend this calendar to any busy Mom.

They sent me an extra BusyBody Book to give away.  Wanna know how to win?

Here are the rules:

I vow not to forget about early release days.  I will NOT forget about Max's Valentine's Celebration this year.  I will stay on top of baking needs for the PTA.  I will, I will.  All with a little help from BusyBody Books.

Hmmm... the worst ball I've dropped concerning my kids' schedules? I guess it would have to be when I overslept and didn't get them to their music class on time. (But, it's still pre-coffee for me, so there may be a "worse" case scenario that I can't think of.)

My kids' schedules aren't all that busy yet, but I've been wanting one of these just to keep up with my own schedule. I'm always forgetting things! Would LOVE to win one!

Hmm...we're newly married (just over a year) and quickly realized that we each needed to carry a calendar that would allow us to keep track of each other's schedules. Since we don't have children, if I can think of any balls we've dropped re. our pets would that count? :) (Do you need the email address in the comments or was entering it in the above field sufficient?) Thanks for your review and the fun contest!
