Welcome to MommyCosm.com...

THE Mommy is a thirtysomething, stay-and-work-at-home mother of 5 year old Princess and 2 year old BamBam.   THE Mommy and THE Daddy have been together for 10 years, married for 6 years.  They currently live in the Seacoast area of New Hampshire.

To learn a little about THE Mommy, check out the Top 10: Random Facts About THE Mommy.

THE Daddy works very hard to balance work and family.  He currently directs the construction department for a growing, local Mexican restaurant group.  He is greatly missed when he is away.  The challenge can add for great comedy and drama at times.

Princess is a 5 year old girl currently enrolled in a full-day kindergarten program at a private, Catholic school.  Although THE Mommy attended Catholic Schools for 12 years, she is not actually Catholic and neither are her children.  Princess is a very spirited diva.  "Precocious" would be an appropriate adjective to describe her.  She is definitely an “old soul”

BamBam is a “bull in a china shop”.  He was born 5 weeks early after condemning THE Mommy to 9 weeks of bed rest due to premature labor issues.  You wouldn’t guess his “preemie” birth status if you saw him.  He’s destined to become a football player.  BamBam recently started attending a day care program.  He was at home with THE Mommy for his first 2 years.

MommyCosm was initally created as an experiment for THE Mommy for a number of reasons:

1) to see if she could shake "mommy brain" enough to formulate complete sentences without being interrupted 50 times

2) to gain first hand knowledge of this thing called "blogging" since she now has a job from home researching blogs

3) (last but not least) to have a place to share mommyism, advice, recipes, or any other experiences that may help others.

For the record, THE Mommy doesn’t feel that she is THE ultimate authority on being a mommy.  Mommies come in all shapes, sizes and beliefs.  BUT, Mommycosm is the world according to HER viewpoint, so for the sake of this blog, she is THE Mommy.  Don’t like it?  Don’t read it.
